the gender and the medium

how can we express our femaleness?

practically, how?

the answer is arbitrary, or rather what it depends on is outside yourself. it depends on when you are living, where you are living, your economic and social circumstances, and much more.

dunno about the future but in general trans people in the past have had it much much worse.

so just believe in your inner femaleness regardless. is that the answer?

we-ell...

problem is the very concept of femaleness was based on the outer. yeah there were assumptions of inner character, but remove these and you've still got the outer sheer fucking bodily facts. blurred around the edges with the intersex, yes, but nevertheless...

and socialization is not to be underestimated,. regardless of what you feel like, your gendered upbringing impacts deeply on your character. yr very instinctive gestures...

in such context, what exactly is inner femaleness?

is it heroically preposterous existential conceit? or an acknowledgement - even a reluctant one - of clear indications?

and then - how do we express that inner femaleness? does the expression consolidate it?

depends on what expression you select. which depends on what expression is available. which leads us back to the start.

do i want to express it? yeah, yeah, yeah, you bet i do.

i enjoy that expression. in no uncertain terms.

which indicates...?

  1. It's a good philosophical question -- what is femaleness. In practice you want to follow your heart, regardless of the answer. If you want to express yourself to the world, in one way or another the do it.

For me personally, just "inner expression" is enough. An actor doesn't need audience or stage, an actor needs to act. How sophisticated critics would classify the performance matters very little.
